The blanks are then fed into the press to be stamped with the obverse and reverse designs. So the edge lettering may be either way up and may start in any position with relation to the coin's design - it's completely random! Those were really popular for companies to do back in the 1960's and 1970's, even though they never really caught on in the general market. They still make ones similar, but it takes a lot of silver to produce that. Not to mention, they pretty much polished/buffed all the dollars before they put them in their to "grab" the customers eye....even though I really don't think you'll be grabbing many peoples eyes...maybe their butt cheeks.
