1928-S Buffalo listed for only $150. Quality close-up photos with adequate lighting.

Funny, but it didn't sell.

Are we sure that's a coin? Not just a hole in the cardboard showing the table top?

Here's a lovely old half that's not even worth 50 cents, nevermind $250:

Fun-Thread---Worst-Coins-On-Ebay,-Etsy,-Craigslist,-And-Other-Buying-Sites!
Besides, the excessive wear, the rim damage, and the graffiti, the date has been altered which makes it a counterfeit. It's supposed to be an 1838 but the reverse is all wrong, as is Ms. Liberty. Here's a comparison:

Fun-Thread---Worst-Coins-On-Ebay,-Etsy,-Craigslist,-And-Other-Buying-Sites!
A real 1838 reverse has Half Dol, not 50 c, and no motto; and, the obverse portrait is much taller with smaller stars. And, look at that weird 5 on the reverse of the fake- like they were practicing on it.

Here's the ebay item: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1838-50C-L...AOSwPOhafH77

It looks silver, that's worth more than 50c.

I'm sure if you handed it over to pay for goods in a small shop they would accept it and keep quiet; though I suppose a young ignorant person might tell you they don't accept foreign money !

You could be arrested if you tried to pass that in commerce...it's not worth the 50 cents printed on it.
And, would you trust a counterfeit to be silver?

This is something else it would be illegal to pass in commerce. It's listed as an error, but is a very crude forgery!

This one is listed on the Fake Pound Coin Database:

Anyone for some plating bubbles? This is a Sponsored Listing!

123013592315

Fun-Thread---Worst-Coins-On-Ebay,-Etsy,-Craigslist,-And-Other-Buying-Sites!

Now only $474.05 and showing $29.60 shipping for me! Granted, I have not seen a plating bubble pattern like this, but there is no way that's worth the asking price, if anything...
