I've found that *usually* the error type is typically what drives the price more, rather than the country.. but sure, if a Canada error type is more rare than a US type then its price could go higher. Depending on Canada Mint Quality Control, errors may make it out less frequently than other countries. I haven't seen evidence either way and would love to see data on it.

It looks like these errors are pretty rare to begin with, so the fact this one hails from Canada may not matter too much. Not enough auctions to draw any kind of conclusion on that, though.

Here's how the image can expand on a coin when it becomes the die for multiple strikes of other blanks.

And die crack by the G for Gratia. Some day I will know what year of coin it is.

Obviously, more than one pre-1948 George VI reverse die caps existed. This one does not have the die cracks.
