Xanonite Valued Member Canada 218 Posts	Posted 01/26/2014 1:35 pm I can't make out myself what could have clashed with it, but your coin also looks like something is going on the reverse, possibly a light strike on the bottom letters. papeldog Pillar of the Community Canada 1923 Posts	Posted 01/26/2014 4:30 pm The ear to me looks like the bun on the back of Queen Victoria's head but I don't know how that would be possible in 1948. Those marks are raised above all other area's of the coin by the looks of your picture's.
