I just noticed that my most cherished Sacagawea dollar coin has an error. I love this coin because it's a unique reverse, and most rolls of "golden dollars" that I receive have the Presidential series, and if not those, than 2000 Sacagawea dollars. Any help on determining if it might be worth something more than just $1?

2010-Sacagawea-Dollar---Possible-Error?

Edit: I forgot to say what the error is, if anyone can't seem to pinpoint what it might be. It looks like the coin is off-center, and the bottom border is much wider than the top border.

My camera also is bad under low light, but works beautifully under natural sunlight. I'll post some more photos whenever I can get better light, but hopefully the one photo is enough! I can reply with more photos whenever I can get my lighting right :)

As far as I know, modern minor off-center strikes (it could just be a MAD, check the obverse for the same thing to make the determination), don;t have much of a premium. While still interesting to have, I'd think you might be lucky to get a dollar over market value if you were lucky, but I wouldn't think any more.

Of course, it's best to let others chime in and see if my thoughts are shared.

The obverse is as perfect as any Sacagawea dollar that I've seen. It's aligned perfectly, which probably accounted for me not noticing the coin being off-center on the back.

The hammer die is adjustable and the anvil is fixed. If the hammer is not centered, it makes a MAD coin like yours. The obverse is usually the one that is on the hammer, but now they have changed that to the reverse being the hammer. Thus we have to check reverses for the MAD on most new coins now.

In order for a MAD to have a premium part of the design has to "fall off" the coin.Yours is close but no cigar.
