Hello. Please grade my first New Jersey copper from 1786 - I believe it is Maris 14-J. I saw at another examples, that this Maris type had weakness from "R" to "17" in date. Horse head is nice detailed, but bottom left side of obverse is very weak. Reverse is very nice in my opinion. What do you think, it is problem-free coin? Thank you for all your answers.

IMO, decent VG, R1 coin. Nice surfaces. About $100-150.

I like it! Great coin!
I can't decide between G or VG.
Nice surfaces, the reverse is at least VG, the obverse is attractive...but the lack of detail on the obverse may bring it down to G.

Appears to be Maris 14-J.

Combination of wear and strike weakness.
I grade it VG+ and it does appear problem free.
A TPG would more than likely net grade it as light corrosion but I don't see it.
Typical planchet voids and fissures.

I know next to nothing about Colonials, but this is one cool piece! Tons of character! I like it - a lot.
