Quote: basking in the sun and 78 degrees at the Mardi Gras parade on Saturday I hope you got to see Endymion! EDIT: The weather today is raining and yucky so I am glad you were here when the weather was good.

@CoinsKelly - I guess I should have wrote "I was at a Mardi Gras parade" not "the Mardi Gras parade". It was just a little local celebration here in East Texas, Jefferson to be exact.

Dave, I really like that second 1885 you posted. I hope you don't mind, I played around with the hue-saturation a little bit. Is this a more accurate colour?

It's closer but not accurate either. This coin actually has some gold tone. I'm not sure what happened with a group of shots I took a couple of days ago. It's like my auto white balance forgot what it was supposed to do. I played around with the post process and didn't get anything I liked because it wiped out the tone. I've taken shots up to 1887, so bear with me and thanks for taking a shot at it. I appreciate it.

Strange, maybe you switched a setting by mistake? It's always tough trying to remove the yellow channel, when their is gold/yellowish toning. It's a very nice coin though! Quote: maybe you switched a setting by mistake? Yeah, that's what I thought at first. I checked the properties and they're all the same but the results vary. My camera is possessed!
