This is quite a nice coin, I know it looks rough on the pictures, but none the less I would like to be able to slot it into a category.

The weight is a nice 9.11 grams & the max diameter is 25.65 mm.

Hmmm...very rough indeed. the reverse type is pretty common, Victory flying left with a shield inscribed SPQR, flanked by S-C.

Several emperors issued this. The most common I've seen is Nero, but the bust doesn't look quite right for him (might be the corrosion). Perhaps Vespasian:

I was thinking Vespaian also, that will do for me, thanks Ben.

I agree it's Vespasian. The shield is in a different position on Nero's coin.

Thanks Ron, I like the coin, despite it's 'corrosion' and being very rough indeed, its a nice chunky genuine coin, common reverse yes, but the only one I have out of thousands of coins so that makes it a keeper (for now).
