I finally have time to post this coin. I bought it from one of my trusted sources (aka the people who get all my money). I am slowly but surely getting examples of Drusus, Germanicus, Agrippa, et al. I really enjoy these coins because they were of the elite but never held the supreme power. I can happily say I crossed Drusus off of my list and what a coin to do it with. Drusus Caesar AE As minted by Emperor Tiberius (Rome AD 23) Obv. DRVSVS CAESAR TI AVG F DIVI AVG N bare head of Drusus left Rv. PONTIF TRIBVN POTEST ITER around large S C Sear 1794 RIC (Tiberius) 45 10.92 grams 26mm My pictures aren't the best but even with them you can see the stunning portrait of Drusus. It suckered me in when I first saw it. Edited by Whizb4ng 03/03/2014 5:56 pm

Wow, very nice. Will you be displaying the whole period (12 Caesars and Co)? You dont want those sitting out of sight.

I should reword my sentence. I don't have examples of the others yet! The right one hasn't come up yet. I should say 'I will be slowly but surely gathering examples'

Quote: My pictures aren't the best I must be missing something here ..... Your photos are superb ! (SVPERBVS) Very nice coin. We must find you a good Germanicus to balance out the collection.

Thanks for the compliments!
As for the photos I still need to get better with lighting. You can see the glare on the top of his head. It is also hard to get the colours to come out on a tablet.

You might try a piece of wax paper to diffuse the light a bit and or a small white index card to reflect light opposite from the source.

I'll test it out FR thanks. I think maybe if I close the blind a little bit it will work out a little bit better. This is 100% natural light. I am definitely going to try an index card on the opposite side I think the box I was using was black.
I am definitely saving up for either Germanicus or this fellows 'grandpappy' Agrippa.
