Hi Sweetap. If you bought it on ebay and paid via paypal, you chanches are pretty good to get your money back. I cannot say if it is fake or not though.

The coin is unworn yet the reverse design is flat and undetailed except for the date. It's like it was struck from a die that was produced by using an authentic coin of a different date as the master die, then adding the date digits after to the die.

Hi again, Thank you zic and jpl. Yes your both right in Australia they can not refuse to take it back if its not what was advertised and yes Paypal will probably make them take it as well. But at my cost.
I live in Adelaide is there anyone here I can take it to and have it checked I'm sorry I know nothing about this industry and am completely clueless but that guy was pretty certain its a fake and I must say now after all this time I am doubtful as well. So should I have it checked or just send it back. I will look to see if there is anyone in Adelaide I can take it to and not feel like a complete idiot like I now do to get it in writing its a fake and I will then get on to the appropriate parties involved. I guess that's all I can do. Than again for helping its best I know before its to late. Regards sweetap.

Hi wwwww, WOW that's way to much for me to understand I get your saying its had the numbers put on after but geez isn't that a lot of work. So basically you say they have a real die with no number then they put it on I think that's what you mean. WOW this is gonna be harder than I thought.

I also read in one of the stories on here about fakes that one way to tell is to weigh them I have old pennies here I no are genuine just common ones but same era 1913-15-17-20 that we have had since I was a child and that's a very long time ago.
Should I do that first.? or will it be the same because its actually a real penny just fake date thing ? .
I have electronic digital scales that I use for my silver and bullet reloading would this help and if it arrives today I will scan and post on here hope to get more info that's all. Thank you.

wwwww The coin defiantly look's flat. But can you see that the Inner Ring Bead's, is not Centered. it has a Thinner Diameter at the Top (wording) and Wider Diameter Down the Bottom (date)? Or am I looking at an Angle Illusion? jpl..

Update penny has arrived. I'm almost certain it is not real well 99 percent sure its totally wrong and nothing like the coin in the photo , brand new blue to silver edge that is dark in the original photo. Very disappointed. Very . Thank you everyone I will let you know what ebay and the seller decide to do but I'm so sure its not real I wont even bother taking it anywhere. Many thanks sweetap.

They make a fake die from a real coin (which incidentally wasn't even a 1925), they remove the date and put a date of their choice then strike a new coin.

Just looking at the sellers feedback would have been enough to put me off. He's simply selling far too many of the same scarce coins for them to be genuine. I couldn't tell a fake from such crappy pictures, and that's another indicator to it being fake. Sorry
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

OK update , firstly thank you wwwww , I don't need a pro to tell me this one is a fake man am I stupid. Its brand new and its silver blue like its been heated with an oxy acetylene touch. I contacted the guy and got to reply says he didn't know and is going to refund tonight. I have my suspicions he wont but he may be just like me stupid hopefully. Anyway here is what I messaged and what he replied and thank you everyone I will stay in touch even though I'm not going for a penny no more I have learned one thing if you don't no anything don't go there. And yes I believe he knew it was fake but just thought he would give it ago. But I been wrong before now haven't I. Now I also have a florin I purchased and its one of your pet hates I have found out, APCGC slab thing 1936 florin. It looks really nice much better than its grading I think would you like to look and tell me what you all think as I am no expert actually I no nothing at all really. Made the fatal mistake didn't I if it looks to good to be true it generally is. Man I'm mad about that penny. sorry I'm raving now. Hey hello appleangle07, Yeh well on the bright side your right and he seems to either know the coin was not what it should be or really is unaware it is a fake as he is more than happy to refund but I will wait and see.
My guess is he will that's how he gets his 100 percent feedback just give those who realise there money back the others he just keeps I guess. But I never count me chickens till they hatch it has been a lesson I should and do know all to well and it cost me so its my own fault.
If its to good to be true it generally is. OH and if it wasn't for eBays other site gumtree where they now sell the fakes buy the look of it I would not have looked it up but once I seen that I immediately became suspicious which led me to here. So thank you all I will let you know what happens from here.
I do have my eye on another one but now I'm like really do I want this all again. answer NO. May I post any I find here for an opinion before I buy Thank you.

I took a couple pics hope you can see the colour but I only got a vid camera and its pic quality isn't so good as its more for film. But here goes. I got another email from him Dear sweetap, That's why I ask only paypal payments, because it is safe and if something wrong happens I can easily refund, I will refund you tonight. I only need you to send me the coin back though, because of course I will get it tested to see if what you claim is right. Thank you And sorry again for the inconvenience! So he seems genuine but who knows I just want my money back and think about if I'm gonna have another crack at one, I don't need a million dollar coin just a nice example run of the mill used unit.
