Grade and the coin looks fine, just be aware that there are a lot of high graded 1936 coins out there, a lot higher than this one that you can purchase at reasonable prices. These coins were put away due to the king dying as well as the last strike of this design

It is a nice looking coin and would rate ef/avf, hence the VF grade. As long as you like it, that's all that matters

Yes coins, its fine for me I don't need the best, But was just worried it might be fake like all these , gosh darn I nearly bought one those crowns the other day 2 exactly the same on ebay and I just had a bad feeling about them even the marks on the numbers of the 38 were identical bet its the same seller same pic. Gad darn all these fakes I never even new imagine those pennies and half pennies left out in the winter for a couple years they would definitely fool me. Sheeeez. Is this legal. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hoba...356?mpch=ads

Sorry to hear about your coin Sweetap-be sure to get the package tracked when sending it back. That would explain the darkness of the photo, so the shine & blue didn't show. The best thing to do is open a case under, item not as described. Then get the seller to offer a refund, as a way to sort out the case. And send it tracked. This covers you well, and anyone who says they don't accept returns-will have to accept returns if there is a problem with the item, ebay will force it. On a side note, I think it's great what you're doing for your children. Not only will they have some great historic items to remember you, but also no doubt fond memories of a thoughtful father that you are. Try some museum surplus sites for your penny, or from respected coin sites. I just tried looking and my results show to many close to me one site was Aussiecoins.com (they've a circulated penny 1925 for a little more than you paid for this one, then some very expensive ones), but I'm sure some of the other guys on here will know better than me about local sites. Good on you for following up on your concerns, and best of luck with you collection.

Yes coins they do but what about those who buy them and then age them and then resell them on. I guess I'm just being picky cause I got done. LOL.
Hi awallin, yep I got done. But he has already give the money back straight after my first email. Thing is its a bit dodgy. He wants to pay me via a new transaction in paypal so he can use his credit card so he says and he has already sent me a cancel transaction notice probalm is if I do that accept the payment which I have checked is waiting for collection I wont be covered buy paypal as I rang them already. they said He could wait 45 days then do lodge a unauthorised transaction and get the bank to refund him and I would not be covered buy paypal. Paypal said he must refund under the existion transaction then I'm covered If he don't agree I have to open a case with them.... here are the emails from him.
Dear sweetap,
I just want to confirm something before I proceed.
I'm on the PayPal website it is for me technically impossible to refund the money as my PayPal balance is 0 and you can only refund if you top up your PayPal balance, I can do that but it would take for the payment to go through 1 or 2 business days, I can instead send you a new payment with the amount of $140 right now if that's ok for you, because in that case PayPal let me use the credit card, the only thing is that you'd be receiving $133 as PayPal hold a fee for every payment made.
Dear sweetap,
I just sent you $140 on paypal!
In the email that you'll be receiving there's also my address. It is:
Dear 1sweetap6v8,
As I explained to you I technically couldn't refund you because my paypal account was at 0 I paid you $140 that you should already have in your paypal account. I refunded you the money.
Sorry but I smell a rat , What I thought of doing was grab the money now , hold on to the coin as evidence and then not agree to cancel costing him fees. What do you all think.

He can repay you via paypal who will take the money from his bank account if he has none in his paypal account. That's how it works so it is technically possible for him to refund via paypal

Yes I know stevo but he has already sent the money via paypal using a credit card, Problem is it his or will he just wait then do a charge back on his credit card after I've cancelled transaction for him. Paypal said don't touch the money ask him to refund on the original transaction so there are no come back if he don't agree then just lodge a claim with them. Take the money and prey or wait till Paypal sort it. I think I have to do what paypal say after all the guy has already lost my trust how can I do as he wants now that would be like committing harry carry. I will have to do it the slow 45 day paypal way. I think that is best just follow there procedure otherwise I no Ill get the raw end of the stick. Geeez I think I've had enough of ebay 3 problem in as many weeks after many years of no problems.

I just got another email he really really wants me to take this money I'm just not sure I should. What do you all think. His English is not good aim afraid. But then neither is mine LOL. Email here.............. Dear sweetap, Please listen to me, we carried already this thing to much, trust me, I know exactly how paypal works, I'm not trying to scum you, accept the payment get your money back and to me the all matter is closed, there's nothing you need to be covered of, neither do I, once you accept the payment I made you'll get your money that you can transfer into your account, I already transferred your payment you made for the penny into my account that's why paypal won't make me refund it, it tells me that the money I'm trying to refund as already been transferred, that's the all problem, so to avoid further problems I just made you a payment, simple as that! Please accept it, go to your ebay accept the cancellation of the auction and we close it here, exchange positive feedbacks. it's frustrating me as it would be frustrating you... - thekingrob

Woah don't accept the cancellation of the auction? If the guy doesn't have a credit in paypal he can still refund you. All he does is go to the refund button next to the transaction in paypal. I usually transfer money straight into my bank, and I had to give a refund before and had no money in paypal-but it was on my card. So I pressed the refund button, and it becomes an E-cheque with paypal that takes a few days, but they pay from your bank via paypal. Why has he not just offered a refund via ebay, and done things the easy way? That way when he receives the penny, he releases the cash through an ebay automated agreement. Listen to your instincts bro, I know for a fact you can refund with a 0 paypal balance- because the card registered takes it from your bank.
