I think that it is much too rough to be a clipped planchet, and also the details don't "fade out" near the clip. Just my two pennies worth. darryldarryl Pillar of the Community Canada 2428 Posts	Posted 03/19/2014 09:38 am I am skeptical on the first clip however there is the possibility of a clipped coin having no Blakesley effect. -Coin would have to have an incomplete clip -Coin then goes through the rimming process -After rimming process the incomplete clip breaks off becoming one clipped coin with no Blakesley effect.
