Received my 4 boxes from APMEX today. Total cost for the four, including bridge tokens, and 'pick-up fee' at my box in Port Huron about $20/each (already translated to Cdn funds). All are brand new, in perfect condition.

I've wondered a bit how so many of these are on the market. given the difficulty that the RCM had in sourcing them and delivering them to subscribers (original to be delivered in march turned into july and then delayed further to november). Rumors were that the boxes were being delivered to the RCM and not passing quality control so they kept having to delay shipment.

maybe these boxes are from subscriptions orders where the company sold the coins individually and then had a number of boxes to sell as well.
OR
maybe the boxes are the ones rejected by the RCM but are still perfectly good, just with some minor flaw (maybe the logo on the top wasn't perfect, etc...).

either way these sounds like a great deal for a box. Plus since the insert is removable you could replace this with any kind of foam board and make a nice display box for any size or series of coin.

@margareto, LOL...yeah a mistake turned out well. I couldn't believe I ordered white rings after all the time I spent researching and if they fitted properly I planned on ordering 25 black rings. When I started putting them in the slots I started to realize that they looked really good !
White rings for me from now on !

Its just an idea, but the first one (set/box) you can leave with whites (they look good) - as period of 2011-2013, and the next period, from 2014 - insert into the black rings.

I just ordered a couple of these boxes myself, and APMEX has a special with no shipping fee's for any order. They have a minimum order amount of $50 so I had to add in another item I was missing in my collection to make that minimum, but that means the boxes will be just over $12 each. the main page said the special was good from 5/12 to 5/16
Rest in Peace

Thanks for the 'tip' on free shipping - I ordered another two, and added a few 1 ounce 'world' coins to my order. Just a note - if you use a Canadian card - with an American shipping address - you have to leave your 'cart' in US funds, or they will not allow you to use the Canadian Credit Card.

An additional bonus, is 2 day 'tracked' shipping free, if paying by Credit Card.

Interesting, how the company loses the huge base of customer, who has Canadian residence.
Where from simple Canadian people will have the address in US? Should I buy some property in US and connect my CC to this address?

I suppose I could put an offer out there for others who would like to order through the USA. Being only 10 min from the border, I'm over there quite often - especially to refuel the car fleet. Keep in mind I pay a $5 pick up fee(per pkg) at my parcel service (SCC) and there is also the bridge fee $6.50 (round trip).

PM me if you need anything and we can discuss it.

I just purchased 3 more O Canada boxes on ebay for $112 cdn.shipped and no taxes. I think that's the best I can do in Canada, works out to about $37 each. So I'm happy with that and all set for boxes for a while......not sure how long the $20 for $20 & $50 for $50 coins will be out but I now have enough space to accommodate them for a few years. If they are discontinued I'm sure another series of coins will come along that will fit in.

Today I dropped by our local craft store and picked up a couple pieces of 1/4 inch foam so I could modify one of the O Canada boxes to accept the $100 for $100 coins. Can't make up my mind if I prefer the black or white foam ? What do you think ? I'm thinking black !

Now I'm using these boxes for the $20 for $20,$50 for $50 & $100 for $100...well worth the money !
