DAte format needs to be DDMMYYYY or MMDDYYYY.....any other method is just wasting time looking at random numbers.

I'm looking for my phone number and numbers of friends instead of birthday notes. But if I find my kids birthday, I'll keep it.

Although this one is in the YYYY/MM/DD format, I got a (US) $20 note today with the serial number ML 19331229 E. There is, however, a good chance I'll have to use it today, so if December 29th, 1933 means anything to you, speak now or forever hold your peace. EDIT: I just found that the Prime Minister of Romania was assassinated on that day. I doubt it's too important to anyone here, though.

I've had this a few years now and I was just taking some pictures of some notes I have so I thought I'd share it. Nice with three possible birthdates. Jan. 15 2001 Nov. 5 2001 11th May 2001 Cheers, Bill

If so, many of the notes in this thread are not birthday notes since many of them employ a single digit for the month or the day. I have this one which may or may not be a 1953 birthday....

I call that Jan 22, 1953 or Dec 2,1953, especially if either were my birthday

Quote: Is this a hard and fast rule? If so, many of the notes in this thread are not birthday notes since many of them employ a single digit for the month or the day. That is only because our bills have 7-digit serial numbers. It does kinda mess up the pattern but it's only possible with 7 digit birthdays. US banknotes work better because they have 8 digits. Birthday notes would ideally be M/D/Y or D/M/Y, but I think having the year first is also acceptable. It is personal preference really. However I would not accept a note as being a "birthday note" if the year came between the month and day, or not all 7 digits are used to create the date. Here are a few I found recently: $20 BSA 1971275 - 1971 27 May $20 FVP 1933910 - 1933 9 October or 1933 September 10 $20 BSF 1996714 - 1996 July 14 $5 HCE 2014216 - 2014 February 16
