Click - Tampa is a big city... Try to find a bank that uses loomis. You will have better luck since they are contracted by the Fed for coin processing, storing and distribution. They should have plenty more than one bag in stock!

Mr. Click=================== Quote: So what would you grade mine with the spotted condition it is in? If I owned this lovely PEGLEG, I first would give it a long slow ACETONE bath. From what I can see in your PIC, the PEGLEG aspects of your Ike is really quiet nice. As far as the commercial value is concerned, that is a matter of supple and demand. One can never say what a willing buyer will pay for something. ==== The cost of slabbing, hurts about all prospects of selling at a big profit, to well informed buyers. If it was my coin, I would clean it, and it would stay in my collection. If I wanted to sell it, I would slap a good price on it and offer it RAW. 1900+ POP is not RARE. === But it is RARE if one has ZERO 1974 (D) PEGLEGS === Or zero PEGLEG Ikes.

COPY and paste from other CCF post Quote: Promptly WATCHED the gentleman sitting at the table promptly bid the 89 CC up to $1500.00!! I could not believe it. I was stunned.
THEN...he turned around about bid the 81 CC to $525.00!!
I was stunned. This is what I mean went a buyer just wants something. NOW Who can say what your PEG is worth?

Mr. Click you really got this topic fired up, the best was the pics when you first got the bag of ikes and it was on the hood of the car, our minds were wandering of what could be,,great times, still you were able to pick out some keepers.. as I wait patiently to find the right connection to get my hands on my own bag, you bring us hope,lol..... i have tried three locations they all used loomis had no luck.. my all time favorite head teller struck out through garda... i actually called brinks and spoke to change room,(yup they spoke to me) gentlemen said they have bags of ikes sitting there just need a bank to order them for me.. so I have one branch which uses brinks trying for me, its a big branch real busy so I sit and wait for results.. this week I will find more brinks locations and get some wheels in motion,,.. see where it goes nothing to lose only gain... to any others trying to score a bag I wish you luck and hope to see your pics of a bag in your car in transit to your secret coin roll hunting location...

@coinsrus1000 Thanks for the kind words. I hope you get a bag soon. It was a blast. I'm glad I found this thread when I did @ Domain555 Thanks for all the info you've given me. If it wasn't for you I would have grabbed the silvers and that's it. I've never washed a coin because I was told early on not too. So I'll have to research this acetone bath you talked about I hope you score a bag of Ike's soon. Can't wait to see pictures and be jealous of you guys as well.

see where it goes nothing to lose only gain... All I know has been gained here on CCF I was lucky at first, to say the least, here in OKLAHOMA. My situation is off and on again === time after time. I Learn Learn Learn from you guys. I just looked up my local Brinks === and plan to make my calls Monday. More sources is more power. One different thing I plan on doing is to get my 94 year young Mom on the hunt with her personal bank. She has been banking there for half a century.
