Die Cracks And Other Faults

I'm not sure how the dealers are over there about the varieties, but it seems here in the US they don't quite take the time to search for these coins. I know in the Indian cent series, I pick up one or two each show, some even certified with out realizing it's a variety.
I guess if you have thousands of coins to go through, it's hard to check each and every one, all the better for us.

How many tables(dealers do you usually have at your coin shows? We have about 6 to 8 big shows a year with 100 to 120 tables and numerous 50 to 60 table shows. I live in St. Louis Missouri, one of the bigger cities, lot of coin collecting action here.
I just received my Australian pre-decimal coin varieties book from Newcastle, thanks again shane. I will have a lot to keep me busy for the next few days.

Hello Everyone,
well after reading my Australian pre-decimal coin variety book, I am amazed at all of the varieties attributed by additional dots and die cracks. I must learn more about the minting process, the thing about the extra and misplaced dots really has me confused. I have a 1943 penny with a small dot at the roo's nose, there is a variety like that, but this one doesn't meet the other requirements. I wonder how these dots got there, one variety simply described as numerous dots along roo's back, how does that happen?

I am looking for minting info now, if anyone can explain this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. Thought I'd post the 43 with the dot, I guess it's pretty common to have these all over the coin.
