I just relisted a few items on ebay and noticed a 0.30 listing fee per item. I guess the days of free listing are over? Edited by oih82w8 05/27/2014 11:03 pm

At least in coins & paper money and some other select categories. I believe you only get 50 free auction listings and 50 free auctions w/ a buy-it-now option per month.
These are new changes and I don't like them too much.

I'm not sure how you got tagged for funds; unless you are posting a high quantity of items. I posted over 20 new items last week at no cost (sports cards and under $400). It's been about 6 months since I last posted items for sale at ebay and have not seen or heard of any changes.

I believe... __________________________________________________________________________________ Are you saying that it IS true that selling coins are now charged at ebay? If so, 30-cents a coin would be more expensive than any profit I could make with the coins I want to get rid of.

Ya, I was listing free just last week. Now I'm at 30 Cents per listing. I think it's just for a few categories like coins. This sucks..

If you choose Duration Good 'Til Cancelled you get charged the fee every 30 days?

The items I had listed before the fees are still going for free. And I had them on relist up to 3 times automatically. If I'm going to have to pay 30 Cents every months for items that are't guaranteed to sell especially the $20> then I'm going to have to rethink selling on ebay.

Yes, I got caught by this too. The fixed price auctions are not free anymore except if you list in certain categories. Coins and paper money is not one. It seems like ebay is trying to get rid of the long duration listings. Personally I think all listing should be free and they should charge for the closing fees. If you call and say that you were not aware of the change, they will credit you.

We list 1,000 items per week as 7 day auction style listings and few BIN's listings.
And it costs me $500 per month no matter how much or less we list! Final Value Fee 7.5%
Costs a bit more in Aussie for an Anchor store than in the States hey.......

I got an email a couple weeks ago from ebay stating you can no longer list in the coins category for free. I list just over 70 recurring buy it now listings per month. I did some quick math and it was cheaper for me to start up an ebay store. With a yearly subscription I am paying $16.00 per month with 150 free listings per month. That did save me money and enabled me to list in the coins category for free.....not to mention it will lower my closing value fees. Might be worth looking into depending on your situation.

The rules have changed. If you list more than 50 items a month look into getting a store....otherwise go with the auction format with opening bid the same amount you would have listed as BIN, & relist if it doesn't sell.
