The VF20 grade on the 1807 was likely because they knew that was not original mint luster on a 210 year-old copper. It was probably net graded 5 or 10 points for a cleaning that bought out the shine.

In my eyes the 1804 is a far better coin.

Im very disappointed at ANACS grade of the 1807. They said VF35 cleaned....it just doesn't add up to me. I dont see how it is not original mint luster, the die flow lines are there, and it is clearly better than a VF35 detail wise. I will probably crack it out and put it in my type set....and maybe put the 1804 up for sale.
Rest in Peace

The 1804 is up on ebay auction right now....ending in about 12 hours and currently at a very low price....I hope I get some more bidding action!
