Hello everyone,

Have the above silver coin and it has an L overstamp as per the images (sorry not the best quality).

If anyone can sched any light on this I would really be grateful. Also what would this sort of coin trade for at present?

Looks like a chopmark to me- traders would stamp coins to ensure silver quality.

maybe the stamp is an castle? Then it would look like this one I had Picture below. (can be wrong though)>
