I have 35 Excel spreadsheets (of the most valuable coin types I collect) detailing what I paid, when I paid it, where the coin came from and what I estimate its worth. There's a date assigned to each estimate so anyone interested (ancestors, etc.) can extrapolate a current worth. I also keep receipts of each sale for the coin's provenance.

It's a little OCD but hopefully, it will help anyone in the future interested in the worth of my collection.

Going by the lowball estimates of grade I put on my coins it's pretty safe to say its south of 10K. Then again, I have a few moderns that might get ridiculous high grades from a TPG and could end up being valued quite a bit higher. But I generally hate slabs, so I'm sticking with my lowball grades...

I keep all of the Krause values in an Excel spreadsheet with other vital info per coin to keep a rough estimate. While I'm personally impressed with my rough valuation, it doesn't come close to departing the first category.
