Who would like a little coin with their center hole?
I love numismatic oddities, if you haven't noticed by now:

The coin is a Wu Zhu from China; that type was made over the course of 736 years from 118 BC until 618 AD. During emergency coin shortages, the local officials would (with or without official approval) punch out the centers of the coins, and viola! Twice the currency supply (that is an economically sound solution, right?)
