What's the problem?
Long story short, I ordered this and a couple other coins from
http://www.fastcoin.com. When my order arrived a few days later, 2 of the coins were the ones I ordered, but the third one, the one featured in this topic, was in fact a different 1831 CBH, and much lower grade to boot. I contacted them about it immediately and received a prompt response acknowledging their mistake. They told me they would send a return label for the erroneously received coin, and I presume the correct coin would be sent to me upon their receipt of my return.
One week after that, I still hadn't received the return label they said they'd send me. I received another e-mail from them asking if I had received it yet, and if not, that they would send another. I replied that I had not received their return label, and I haven't heard back since. That was 10 days ago. I sent another e-mail this morning inquiring what the hold-up might be, but like before, still no reply.
I go back to their site today to discover it has been completely reformatted, and the inventory completely overhauled; everything was changed. Most discomforting though, was that when I tried to log in, it said that my e-mail was not in their database; my account (and presumably my order info as well) has simply disappeared from their website! I'll give them the benefit of a doubt that this might have been due to complications from the site overhaul, though.
I understand that the owner of the site, Joel Rettew, is a well established and highly respected dealer. I'm still hoping this problem can be resolved in a satisfactory manner.
Well, so much for keeping it short. I was considering making a separate topic about this issue so I can get the opinions of a wider audience, but I'll give it some time to see if they pick up communication again.
