Not coins but two German notes of 1914. Just makes you wonder how many poor suckers had notes like these in their pockets as they were led to the slaughter.

Here are a few 8 Reales from the 19th Century. 1824 Spanish Colonies, Potosi, Bolivia. Assayers almost always worked in pairs, however this issue is a scarce variety with only one assayer's initial. 1814 Spain, Cadiz -- home port of the Spanish Treasure Fleet. At the time this coin was minted, Cadiz was one of the few cities that were not conquered by Napoleon and became the seat of government and military command.

Coins that came out in Pakistan in 2014: The Rs25 one is a commemorative, celebrating the golden jubilee of the Pakistan Navy Submarine Force. There's also a Rs5 coin that is in common circulation, despite not having been minted since 2006 (makes me suspicious at how shiny and new looking the coins seem still). I've got many other '4s, but this was the simplest to pull together.

I'm saving the only 2014's I have for new year's eve, as a sort of symbolic thing. nice variety of coins there! reminds me, I've got the most lustrous coin in one of the 1964 30 drachmas I've got, if only I could capture all that detail
