In my dream last night, my mom bought a lot of 5 silver dimes for $30. Four were common mercs in AU grade. The fifth one was a 1796 draped bust dime (or quarter) in F-VF condition, problem free.i look away, and I question the price. I look back at the coins, and 70% of the 1796 dime was punched out in the center.  It was rather disappointing. |

I dreamt I got a 3 cent silver as a dime last night. Unfortunately I don't remember how. Must be because I read that post about a 3 cent nickel.

I've a recurring dream that I am snorkeling somewhere tropical & staring at white sand along the ocean floor. I see the sun hit something & I recognize the tell-tale shine of a coin. I dive & notice a chain buried in the sand next to the coin. I grab the chain & unearth a small 10x8 chest. I get the box to shore & pop it open by banging a rock on the corroded latch. It's (of coarse) filled wall-to-wall with gold dubloons.

I dreamt I found a 1937 UK sixpence in a dime bin. Which is pretty strange since it doesn't actually exist.

In my last night's dream I was at a party. As at most parties, there were lots of little bowls around containing olives, potato chips, dips and similar nibbles. I found one that was full of water but had a few coins in the bottom! They were mostly large old-style British 5p and 10p pieces! I found a couple of NIFC ones and picked them out. Although they had been in the water, they appeared to be undamaged and were nice shiny uncirculated specimens. I put them in my pocket after checking nobody was looking!

I dream about knowing enough about coins in 1961 to stop my dad from depositing a one gallon paint can full of SLQ's in his bank.

I found about a dozen English hammered gold coins scattered in short grass, in a park,
in a dream.
Green and gold make a good color contrast!
Strange: I don't collect them!
Wayyyyy too expensive for me.
Which perhaps explains why I only found them in a dream.....

I dreamt I found a worn 1944-P US nickel in a roll. I put it down on the table, looked away for a couple of seconds, and it turned into a nice 1944-S nickel.
Maybe I should stop watching so many surreal comedies.

Had a dream last night that I was with my wife in France and for reasons unknown, was using a coinstar-like machine and kept getting older French coins from it and in the dream I was thinking, "Great, I can post these coins to the "Coinstar Finds" thread on CCF!"" I'm even dreaming about this site now!

That is a good one and a worthy bump.  Recently I have been dreaming about finding Dansco albums that I forgot I had. Some are plausible, but I usually wake up when I see multiple 7070 albums with the gold pages complete.  |

Funny this thread popped up as I've never really dreamt about coins before until a few days ago with some sac dollars of all coins.... I have a recurring dream 1-2 times a year about an ex girlfriend that got away. The dreams are always in different settings but the theme is always the same. I'm trying to find her and briefly do but then she goes away and I can't find her anymore after trying in vein.
In this one I was trying to go up multiple floors of a building staircase that was blocked by packed furniture. I climb and climb and when I finally get to where she's supposed to be all I find is a pile of sac dollars then I wake up... now go figure that one out Sigmund!

I get coin related dreams at least once a week or so. Typically, I end up finding a rare and valuable coin or a number of them, get really excited about it, and then wake up and realize I didn't actually get them.
Latest one was about receiving a pile of old Mexican coinage and getting ready to search it for examples to put in my Dansco.

I collected coins when I was under ten years old, and started back up when I was 27. Throughout that time, even when not collecting I would have various dreams of coins or money. The coolest ones are where I'm walking down the street and theres basically %90 silver coins all over the floor and in the dream I'm just picking them up. The more common dream involves finding tons of quarters/halves/silver dollars in the return slots of arcade or vending machines
