1972 LMC DDO very unique great details. Interesting features and toning . Incandescent in areas. First impression was DDO4. Opinions /comments welcome. Help me verify. Then maybe grade.

Looks to be just MD. Some die wobble on the strike.

Indian1, Wow now really. All respect I hope you can look again and reconsider your assessment. just look again at the 9 & 7 in the date seems quite clear. I'm confused. Help?

This is bold with detailed notching. nothing I would ever consider MD.

I know you're probably have more years experience but, I feel I've had looks and made mistakes to have learned pretty the difference besides, classic dbling is not hard to see here.

Again much to bold isn't it? I do hope the new pictures provided help. But, I feel earlier pictures the date pic shows clearly & among other places which I was going to point Out but feel the obvious doesn't need.

I hope there is some help out there. This coin I feel deserves the attention. now after a closer look possibly a 3?. Thanks again.

I hope all the debate is helpful for all.

Ok joey the coin is definitely not 1DO-001 for that is noticeable even with the horrible pictures. 1Do-004 you are just hoping for because that the rare one. You need better pictures to even verify its even a doubled die at all. And I also have my doubts its even a doubled die for I don't think you understand the concept of a doubled die.

Coins101,
"And I also have my doubts its even a doubled die for I don't think you understand the concept of a doubled die."

"1Do-004 you are just hoping for because that the rare one. You need better pictures to even verify its even a doubled die at all.".

I'm sorry. but what in my Post LED you to that opinion.? And if you had a suggestion of what you thought I might be missing I see it nowhere in here. I'm here to learn and to share and open to all suggestions. I do not wish.

Actually I'm pretty sure I have a number for it and will be posting for verification but waiting for new camera first.

Maybe because I was seeing something? Wasn't sure. Is why I asked for help. Instead I got put downs and not real good analysis. <ot always perfect I understand.

But, even with not the best pics Doubled Die is noticeable. Not Md...maybe a mediator's help is needed sometimes. Or not. I think I got this one.

And hints to DDO3 are also there in the bad pics..

Maybe you could have mentioned something on that since you made a comment. Nothing constructive or helpful.

But please, I will post few more pics & do my best.

Dnow I have any ideas or suggestions what happened to this DDO?
I am purchasing newer USB camera microscope which should help greatly improve my post. But I do my best and note so.

But this is doubled die Number 3.
1DO-003 as I mentioned when I updated comments in reply. I mentioned 1 or 4 as I could not figure out at first. Some misleading images threw me off do all the activity on this coin. but then I did suggest 3.

I've done all checks of the marks and match up with the DDO3.even with bad pics certain marks are visible leaning towards the variety.

I will take a couple of pics and point out the marks. And try to post a couple new ones that show it better.

I'll be posting some other DDO + other possible examples varieties maybe see I know the difference.

For the purpose of sharing and learning.

markers are just below IN and below g in GOD as they should be. maybe not able to see in thesepics. But I assurre you they are there. I will try to show in realtime pic I will add..
