There is a coin shop not that far from where I live, And one of the guys is into Political pins and such. I was thinking of possibly trading with him(if he would do that) for a Flying Eagle penny and or a 3 cent Silver trime. I have an old 1860 Abe Lincoln campaign token(The rail splitting of the West) a 1863 Ulysses S Grant, Copper long beard early portrait( The Union Must And Shall Be Preserved) 1868 US General Grant(If it takes All Summer) And a 1879 Ulysses S Grant token(Struck And Distributed in the municipal parade). They look to be in good condition. One of the pins I have is a Coolidge Dawes Dinner Pail Full. That is in good condition. I've looked online for the tokens as for their value, but nothing convincing. What do you guys think, is it a good deal, or am I shooting myself in the foot?

FE cents have low values in lower grades. There seems to be no shortage of them. In fact I know a place where I can get a dozen "problem" FE cents @ $5 each. Just saying, you might be better off trading for something that is a little more valuable and/or rare.

Just off the top, I think your tokens are probably worth around a hundred bucks each -- maybe more. Suggest you sell them outright. FE cents and 3 cents are common and not worth very much unless in high grades.

Depends on what condition the flying eagle is in.

I agree, I have sold flying eagles and they are quite common. They sell faster the higher the grade but lower grades are cheap and common. Three Cent Silver coins are common too. Those campaign tokens look more rare, something you would see on Pawn Stars. I say sell your campaign tokens and buy what you want.

Thanks guys for the input. I'll probably just sell them on E-bay.
