My Upgraded VF30+ Dansco Indian Head Cent / IHC Set Is Complete!!

johnny54321 Rest in Peace United States 4849 Posts	Posted 08/14/2014 4:57 pm Still waiting on a 1858 SL flying eagle in XF to complete the FE set too, but couldn't wait to share!! Everything 1890 and later is AU+ imho. All coins have full liberty's, and most with full top/bottom rails, including the 1877. All are problem free, for the most part anyways. Now to finish up the Flying Eagles, and fill in some empty holes in my Lincoln album. My goal is to have all small cents date/mm(not including varieties) in VF30 and above grades from 1856 to present date....and I am so close I can taste it!! Report this Post to the Staff

Fortunately, I had lower grade examples of each that I was able to sell and put towards the upgrades. My other set averaged VG in grade for the tougher coins. There are still a couple in here I would like to upgrade, mostly from the CU/NI side....but its good enough for display. I must admit, seeing you post some of these IHC's in the grading forum sparked an interest for me in collecting high grade FE's and IHC's. Right now I am working on getting XF or better of the FE's(1857 and 1858 SL and LL) and the CU-NI IHC's from 1859-1864. In fact, I have an 1859 and 1863 on the way to me now.
