Its a nice one , great looking fields.. They are notorious for being weakly struck... I would say VF 30 for sure...

Very nice, usually these a beat to pieces where they circulated so much but, this is a nice one.. Looks EF-40 to me.

Really nice. Looks like a weak strike and at least AU50.

I agree with the weak strike, but to be conservative, I'd go with a grade like EF-45.

I'd venture a guess - VF35. Slight weakness on the crown band and around the eye. Nice circulated piece. Just imagine how many parking meters this one inhabited back in the day.

Photos make it appear to me like there is pitting or some such close to the portrait. I would hesitate to give this EF40 because of that, the details on the torso seem to lack sharpness, and the wear on the crown. I am at VF30.

the "pitting" you see as well as the lack of sharp detail is typical of weak strike. I will buy all your vf30's at ef money if they look like this coin.

Given the rim dings and slight interruption of lustre, I would say your coin is a weakly struck, AU-55 to AU-58.
Nice coin.

Fair enough comment on the strike. It is a very clean coin.
If it were readily available in that year well struck, I would only pay VF30 money for it.
If it is typical of the coins for that particular year, then it would be different and I would pay more in line with most of the grading offered in this thread.

You would have a very tough time trying to find one in similar grade, that was fully struck... some years from George VI are almost impossible to find fully struck...

EF -45 nice coin, they are hard to find in a nice condition and are usually beat and worn!
