Bare head left / Soldier with parazonium presenting branch to Augustus seated left on curule chair set on daÃ¯s; IMP â€¢ X in exergue. RIC I 162b; Lyon 9; RSC 135. Put the picture from: http://cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=223148 http://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=498736 http://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=123573 (I know these are not the identical type but I do feel relevant) side by side with the one you might purchase. Stylistically the reverse bothers me. However, the obverse is where I also focused. The beaded border, the letters, should get additional scrutiny. I confess I am not as picky about coins I acquire from CNG as they are a premiere auction house. I could be wrong. Report this Post to the Staff

I searched VCOINS and CNG (sold coins) for 'lugdunum denarius'. I could not find a reverse of similar style or subject at either site. Denarii at the CNG site were arranged by Emperor, so easy to locate a desired coin, if listed. Does wildwinds have a listing? More research needed. Check edge with at least a 10x loupe, preferably more powerful; looks OK as presented so far. Report this Post to the Staff
