I just stumbled on this thread after seeing Vermontensium's tag line. I am extra sad tonight after hearing of John's passing. He was a super nice guy, with a great eye for nice coins. His posts, and knowledge will be greatly missed here by all at CCF.

Aw, sorry to hear that, but I suppose it will hurt for some time to come.
Having experienced a lot of losses, I decided that when the hurt comes -- and it does show up unexpectedly -- I take a moment to thank God for the time I had with the person and I pray for whoever else may be missing that person. This does not in any way "fix" grief, but it gives me something to do.
Anyway, I'll be thinking about you this weekend.
