Just Passed 5000 Posts -- How Time Flies

I was just wandering around World Coins and Currency when I realized I hit 5000 posts. Then I wondered: "How long have I been a member here?" It's been over 5 years. How time flies.

One day I read a thread about a little kid buying a coin from one of the members. (I have searched for the thread to link it, but I couldn't find it.) The boy's mother asked the seller to hurry up and send the coin because the kid would be checking the mail every day -- or something like that. One by one, site members offered to add to the original purchase until the 'buyer' got a whole box of coins.

This is just one example of the generosity of the members on this site. Every day experts show up to answer questions and I really appreciate it.

I still feel like a newbie. I suppose I always will since I came to the hobby in my late 50's. So to all you members here that have been generous about sharing their their time and expertise, please know that I am grateful.

I'm also very thankful that Mom and Dad created a site where it is always a safe place to visit, learn, and share our collecting experiences.

So -- here's a little love from me to all of you. You make learning about coins an absolute pleasure.
