I am in shock, I just came across this thead. John and I did many big deals, traded 1916 SLQ's and so forth.... I knew he was ill, but never knew it was life threatening. He was just actively collecting a few weeks ago... I can say this, this man was a CLASS act ! He was pleasant, kind and helpful. I know he is the very presence of God, as he had placed his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Pray for his family, this will be very difficult for them. Sorry to ramble, just is shock...

You meant very much to him and as we all found out unfortunately, it was sudden.

O... my... gosh.... I am in shock right now, quite choked up actually. I can't believe this! Very very sad news . Sorry to bring this sad thread back up, but I'm not on as much lately as my schedule is just crazy right now so I was just made aware of this, by seeing V's signature... Being two years younger than him, with two babies myself I'm just... I don't even know.. I really don't... I can't even imagine. My prayers and thoughts will be with his family for some time to come now as this is undoubtably one of the roughest times in their lives. May they have the strength through his memory to get through this, as those we love never truly leave us. He's still walking beside them, hand in hand and deep in their hearts to help give them the strength they'll need, and even carry them at times. It's really kind of a wake up... We can be taken whenever regardless of our hopes/wishes. Every moment with those we love is more precious than we often take it for. I don't want to just be a "good" husband or father, I want to be the best I can. I don't want to stand on the sidelines of my family's lives giving direction, I want to be walking with them hand and hand. I don't want to just make them smile, laugh and feel joy, I want them to feel that way every second of every day. Because you really just don't know how much time you have with them in the end. Not that I think I'm a bad father or anything, I just want to be the best possible because you really never know how long we have with those special to us.. Johnny countdown, you will be missed something fierce, you've obviously touched a good amount of people in your years, and were taken home way before your time. Godbless, a new star burns bright as silver and gold shining in the sun.

Nathan, don't feel badly about bringing this thread back up. I wish they would sticky it as a memorial. This was a great man, and as you can see by the 6 pages of this post, will be greatly missed.

An update: Today would have been Johnny's 35th birthday. There's fund set up for his kids' college fund, if any CCF members would care to help. http://www.gofundme.com/brawnerRIP Johnny54321.

Hi,
This is John's wife, thank you for this thread I appreciate reading all your comments about my husband. John had a great passion for coins and a vast amount of knowledge on the subject. He enjoyed sharing that with others and that made this community a very important part of his life. There are simply no words to express my heartfelt thanks for the support and sympathy you have extended to my family during this time of loss. I am deeply grateful to you all. John was a very precious man, the love of my life, he will be forever missed.

Thank you for taking a moment to stop by and say hello. It is good to hear how much this community meant to him because your husband will always be a part of it. For us he is neither gone, nor forgotten.

Aimee, this is Dave, John's friend, we met at his Celebration of Life. John will forever be missed and made an impact on the CCF Family which will always be remembered. He was a great man and friend. He made an incredible impact on my life and for that, he will always be with me. I carry an Indian Head cent with me every day that John looked at with me. You are welcome here anytime and you have my email address and phone number if you ever want to talk. Dave
