Hello.. thanks for looking in. This coin was a raw 'shirt pocket' purchase from someone I see at public sales now and then.
Your opinions of its grade and approximate current value will be greatly appreciated.
Was it $100 well spent? Or is advancing age stealing pieces of my common sense?
Either way, I doubt after years of looking, that I am going to find this date in this condition in some dealer's quarter bin.
cheers, msy

I'd call it an EF40 based on crown beads and low wear on shoulder area. You shouldn't lose any money on this one, even if ICCS gives it a VF30.

You did well.
The average ebay price for even a VF30 is $150.00

Thanks for the encouraging replies.
It's nice to be one coin closer to finishing a favorite set.
Good luck with your treasure hunts, everyone.
