Mine might may come a day after the 11th but there is a small chance. Hopefully they get it earlier then the 11th...

I have just opened my wonderful, generous gift from BadToTheBone! Many Thanks and a very Happy New Year! I couldn't believe it! My first slabbed coin - a Monroe Doctrine half - and much more besides! I will post photos when I am feeling up to it! But I must explain why I've only just unwrapped my Christmas gifts! On 21 December I woke with a terrible stomach pain and asked a neighbour to take me to the Casualty department of the local hospital. I had a CT scan two days later and an operation on Christmas Eve to remove part of my colon. I was discharged today but am still weak and in some pain, and will not be leading a normal life for some time yet. I had no internet access at the hospital so this is my first chance to go online for 15 days!

Well, my name can now be crossed off the list!
Something that I didn't already have, was not looking for, but is most welcome into my 'odds and ends type set' - an 1849 Large Cent. And snugly encapsulated into one of those Air Tight plastic rounds which are often the perfect way to show off a coin. (My humble gold type coins are in similar holders)
Gosh it looks pretty!
And a card from my Santa - well, when I read his/her CCF name I just was SO pleased! Makes me happy that I sent a similar 'WOW' coin to my good little girl/boy.
Let's see - 1849 + 100 = 1949 + 50 = 1999 + 15 = 2014 ==> 166 years old! It has worn its years well.
Thanks "D" in "CA" - you could not have chosen better. PS. NOPE! I won't look it up as for value/condition. That is meaningless given the true spirit of Secret Santa. But nice rims and a readable 'LIBERTY' plus lovely color = BINGO!

Still nothing. This was my first year that I have ever signed up, but I don't think I would sign up for this exchange again next year.

Wireman09, don't give up faith! Try again next year even if you don't get anything this year.

Wireman09, same thing happened to me last year. I didn't participate this year as it kind of took the wind out of it for me. Sad for sure. Hang in there though, might still be coming.

Sorry for posting late, I received my awesome gift over the weekend! I received an incredibly thoughtful type set of Canadian nickels, displaying the different designs and metal compositions from the early 20th century through now.
Also a lowball Canadian dime, a Newfoundland 5 cent and a "wait for me daddy" twoonie !
So unexpected and such a nice surprise! I will post photos ASAP.
Thanks Santa!

Received my gift yesterday from Canada Thanks. Got three coins I didn't have and a Canadian pin. Not to be a jerk but my 10 year old daughter saw them and got all excited. I started her collecting a couple years ago. She loves Canadian currency and coins and asked if she could have them. I let her have one. .

Man, I think I was the first one to mail my gift out and I still haven't gotten one in return. I was really excited for a couple of weeks but now I've kind of written it off.

I remember last year, my recipient didn't mention he got the package until weeks later, and was kind of like "I got it. The end." I was admittedly a bit annoyed by his lack of shown appreciation (though he may have really liked it, but did not express this on the forum), but still I was relieved it had, in fact, arrived at his house. This year, I got tracking so I would know. :) There's still time for those across the border packages, and maybe some of the ones staying in the US just got a bit pushed back. Have faith!
