Received my gift yesterday from Santa in the USA, today. A super gift, thank you, Santa. Cuba 1916 5 centavos, not seen one of these before.   USA Denver Tramway Transit token I've got transit tokens from several cities but this is the first one from Denver   USA 2008 D Dollar, not seen one of these before.   USA, Dollar 1878 Not the first Morgan dollar for me, but the first with a VAM identity,185B. He's also put 7TF - anyone know what that means ?   There was also a Portugal 1964 5 escudos, which rolled out of my hand as I got it out of its sleeve. It's rolled under my desk and I can't get to it at the moment. So thanks very much, Santa. A terrific gift. |

@Pertinax, I believe the 7TF means the eagle has 7 tail feathers, as opposed to 8. I am not an expert on Morgans though and others may correct me on it.

Pertinax, 7TF means "7 tail feathers", one of the varieties of the 1878 Morgan dollar. |

The 1878-P Morgan has three main tail feather configurations: 8 TF was the first until those knowledgeable of eagles complained it should be 7 TF; so the mint re-engraved the 8 TF reverse with 7 TF and left portions of the eight showing underneath ... voila, 7 over 8 TF; finally they created new reverse dies with just the 7 feathers. I won't get into the different 7TF reverses, it would just confuse.  So glad you liked the mix. I was getting very concerned as I mailed the package on Dec 10th. |

Ohh Finally my recipient replied that they got their gift... There's a little song as well for you on page 19 of this thread!
I still have yet to post pics.. and I want to say it's not that the gift went unappreciated... it's that I have not had enough time to take photo's upload and post... I am however very grateful of the coin.. I seriously love it!

Paulsz....you don't know how good it made me feel to see your post. When did you receive this? I mailed this out over a month ago and I was getting worried you were never going to receive it.

Looking at the list of those that haven't received... is there really a user called "iokemist6"? Seems pretty coincidental that there's a "biokemist6" but that name has been on the list since the early stages. I can't find a way to search the member list to verify (is there a way?) so I thought I'd just point it out.
