I agree, there is still hope that late gifts may arrive, but overall it shouldn't ruin a great tradition of giving and sharing that goes on here each year.
(I will have to be honest and say that it is EXTREMELY disheartening to see that the list of negligent/forgetful/unable Santas is as long as it is. There certainly are situations where life happens and people are unable to hold up there end of the deal, but unfortunately too many times people just don't care enough to hold up there end of the deal. That is what really surprises me because I would guess that list to be much smaller than it is by now based on how great the CCF members are overall)

Quote: The US Postal Service don't respond to emails and the few times I rang (nid-morning their time), they didn't answer the phone I filed three complaints on my local mail carrier last year because she was too lazy to get out of her truck and try to contact me regarding a package I had to sign for (and the second and third time it happened, I even got it on video since I thought proof may be good to have). I never once heard from ANYONE at USPS. I selected the option to have someone contact me, and on the last complaint, I mentioned the videos and the lack of response on the prior complaints in the comments section. Still, nothing. Not a peep or anything at all. People wonder why the USPS is drowning in debt and suffers from lack of confidence among its clients. Gee, things like this may be why! Anyway, back to the topic at hand! It is sad to see how many people did not receive a gift this year, though I am hesitant to blame it entirely on people not mailing a gift. With the thieves we have in this world, for example, who's to say someone did not take a package or two that were in transit? I don't know that this is something USPS is doing, but maybe people are taking them from front porches or mailboxes after delivery. This wouldn't be a large enough number to account for all the people who did not get a gift, but maybe one or two? This is why I got tracking this year for the Secret Santa mailing. I hope those who did not get a gift will try again this year, as you may get a person who DOES send a gift this time.

Figured I'd give rggoodie a hand and update the list of those that have NOT received based (only!) on responses in this thread. Any direct communication to rggoodie will not be included here. Hope this helps some. Still 17 gifts not received at this time.
NOT RECEIVED 712 alganbagerap BuckeyeCoinGuy crzy3by CSOTUS Fuzzy317 (added to the list per post 10-Jan-2015) matthewriley molydeii packrat1 schris252 shonit123 spaceace TimbersFan tkbslc vermontensium wireman09 xshift
Total : 17
Not on "not received" list as of rggoodie's last post on 31-Dec-2014 but replied since then: NumisRob (marked received 05-Jan-2015) Spott (marked received 02-Jan-2015) jack jeckel (marked received on 31-Dec-2015)
Received/Other 0xDA71D (02-Jan-2015) HONDO (06-Jan-2015) iokemist6 (not a member, probably a dupe of "biokemist6") jfransch (08-Jan-2015) jram (06-Jan-2015) matthewvincent (5-Jan-2015) Paulsz (07-Jan-2015) Pertinax (07-Jan-2015) PocketChangeJunk (06-Jan-2015) uncanbishop24 (not a member, probably a dupe of "duncanbishop24")
Thanks, Richard, for running Secret Santa again this year.
edit: moved "uncanbishop24" to the "received/other" pile since there is no CCF member by that name.

I'll put this out there: I don't want whoever was my secret Santa to be sanctioned if they made a good faith effort to send a gift (even if for some reason it was not actually even mailed). It's all good!

I would think uncanbishop24 is Duncanbishop24 so that would be 17 not 18.

Quote: I'm going to brea secrecy and just ask if rggoodie can get hold of xshift and ask her if she received her gift. I ventured in here to see if my recipient had received their gift yet, and saw my sender's note. I deeply apologize.. I had asked my daughter to put it under the tree for me and thought I posted in here that I had done so. On Christmas morning I'm afraid it was so much of a zoo with all the kids here that I forgot I had a gift. When I saw your note I went in and frisked the tree down.. (no, Christmas decorations do not get put away promptly around here!) and found the envelope hidden under Mop Man's posterior. Inside was a note and 2 lovely coins from Canada: Thank you so much - I love these! And here is a mug shot of the perpetrator: He will now be promptly incarcerated for a year and will never be allowed near a Secret Santa gift again! I'm really sorry.. I've had a lot going on but I should have remembered to post, and I beg your forgiveness for making you stress about its arrival And again, thank you, the coins are lovely

Hopefully, they got the gift but haven't been able to post yet. Lets see if Santa can send an email to confirm if they received it.
