I recently bought this one because I liked the surfaces and the amount of detail. The scratches are barely noticeable in hand but are very clear in a magnified photo. I'd appreciate your opinion on grade and comments on the coin. Member ANA and EAC "You got to lose to know how to win". Dream On by Aerosmith

Nice early copper, I'd give it F-15 details.

A really nice coin. I'd assign it to F-15 Details. Graffiti.

A beautiful coin, S-78, with nice surfaces and grading F15. I may be in the minority here, but the scratches, while there, do not disturb the overall appearance. I would take it any day.

F12 Details
If it didn't have those scratches, that would be a problem free coin all day.

I know that strikes weren't great on early coppers, but can anyone help me understand--why are the denticles/design so mushy, and what's with the raised lip along the obverse's top edge?

It appears to have spent some time in circulation after the graffiti was applied. It's not all that distracting in my opinion. Nice example.
