Two More Error Jeff Nickels...i Think

unholyroller Pillar of the Community United States 1903 Posts	Posted 10/25/2014 11:53 pm I have been having a fantastic run of roll hunting and finding error coins. In four boxes of nickels I have found an awesome "struck through capped die", a nice Cud, and now these two out of my last box. A minor MAD and I THINK a clipped planchette. On the clip it looks like the Blakesly Effect opposite the clip...thoughts? Is the MAD significant enough to bring a premium? Report this Post to the Staff

unholyroller Pillar of the Community United States 1903 Posts	Posted 10/26/2014 12:28 am I don't have the setup to get more detailed images of the clip, but most of the "raggedness" in hand looks like it comes from circulation wear. In hand the clip area has a much cleaner cut look to it and the clip edge face is not tapered or rounded, the face of it is at 90 degrees to the face of the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
