That reminds me of christmas 2010 when the first 5oz ATB were for sale from APMEX 12/21/2010 the sale only lasted a couple of days or hours everyone was busy shopping for the holidays and didn't know about the suprise sale but knew that they were supposed to launch in that year then when jan 2011 rolled around all of the momentarily ap suprise sales were higher and you had to stay on top of things to know when they were and who had them them were the fun days.

Only ordered one due to bills. I hate being responsible. But I will hopefully order another one soon. So waiting on it to get here.

Barry, that surely looks like a die crack to me.

acloco, those look like polishing gouges. Odd to see on a modern.

Those planning/wanting to order the NGC 70 graded set from MCM: I have a $20 discount code for the set (because I've signed up for their notification), NOT sure if it will work but if you want to try, please PM me and I'll email to you.

Only 5000 clad sets sold last week? If the mint had more on hand, I bet they could have sold at least 3 times that many on the launch of the silver. May be a missed opportunity for them.

In other news (and to repeat something I just posted in another thread), here's a closeup of the apparent die crack on the reverse of my silver uncirculated Kennedy:

Personally, I think it's extremely cool. My only question is why, if it really is a die crack, don't all (or at least many) of these coins have the same crack as mine?

I went through all mine, front and back (because so many folks were reporting problems),
and mine are completely mark-free. Just beautiful .900 fine silver. :)

The only ones that will be cracked are coins struck by
that same exact die, and only those struck after it cracked.
You're lucky... there is a strong segment of the
hobby that seeks out such errors, so your's will probably
bring a premium due to the crack. My guess anyway.

They are feeling out the market as the price develops. I noticed they only had a certain number of sets for sale at each price level starting around $339 and working up in increments.

Now sold out....
