English jeton of the second half of the 14th century. Obverse is the "standing king under canopy" style, with REX left and GRA right. The reverse features a cross fleury with an eagle in each angle. The legend begins AMOR VINCIT OMNI ("Love conquers all"). The remaining letters are nebulous. This jeton has the identical reverse, and the Portable Antiquities Scheme folks also had trouble with the end of the legend:

The correct text should be : AMOR VINCIT OMNIA
The remainder of the legend seems to be NIChL SED (Nicholas?)

If you mean the left picture, the similarity is only in style. This jeton obverse is what we have have here:

I agree with Petrus' reading of the remaining 8 letters.
Just a thought: Nicholas of Bury St. Edmunds?
