Maybe there's someone living near the uni who's flinging foreign coins out the window...

I'm starting to suspect that coin fairies exist, my sister found a Ten Pence in a puddle on the way home from school, its getting creepy...

It was cut in half. Our coin now comes in those plastic wrappers (I hate those things!) and packed in boxes from Brinks. I'm still trying to figure out how half a cent got stuck in a roll of quarters. [:0] I did a better job rolling the coins myself, at least I picked out the Canadian coins...

I finally dug out the Yen from earlier in this thread, and it's the same as the one pictured. Guess it had been so long since I'd gotten it I'd forgotten what it looked like!

I raided a piggy bank and found these...
New Zealand 20c 1982
New Zealand 20c 1986
New Zealand 10c 1988
USA 1c 1999D
The New Zealand coins are the same size and denomination as Australian coins and are often found here in change. The USA 1c was a bit of a surprise, it looks like road kill. LOL

It finally happened.
I found a 2006 P nickel in circulation. they finally made it. I guess the hoarders stopped. Or at least missed a few. I'm sure they will start showing up more often. Hopefully because any of them I find are staying with me. I didnt think I was going to find any at all but I got lucky.
Rest in Peace

1996 D JFK.

Wouldn't it be nice if they would circulate freely!

On rare occasions, one gets change which includes JFK's, Sacagawea dollars and Susan B. Anthony dollars.

Over the last year I have received several of the above mentioned coins as well as three or four $2 bills.

It's not that they don't circulate, it's just that they don't circulate very much.

As I write this, I have a Sacky and an SBA sitting on my desk. One came from a convenience store, and the other from Walmart.

All we have to do is get rid of the paper dollar, and having coins like this will no longer be a rarity.
