Another decent day today- the usual handful of wheaties (best date a pretty beat up 1927), a silver nickel (date escapes me at the moment), a 1963 silver Canadian dime, and a 10 Euro cent piece from Ireland.

I found a couple of silver dimes last week while bagging up the nearly $6000 in loose coin (!) that took up residence in the vault at work. They're both dated 1958, one's a D, but the other one has a bunch of black gunk on the reverse that I'm not willing to mess with just to see the mintmark! Also got the usual handful of wheaties, one was a 1939 and another was a 1944-S, the rest were nothing special.

A co-worker beat me to a can of cents that was liberally laced with wheat cents, I think she pulled about $2 worth! Nothing too great on those dates either, but she did get a steel cent.

I just went through my wallet and there were 3 star notes. Two $20 and a $1. I have only found one star previously, so having three at the same time was a shocker.

I haven't received anything recently. A couple of months ago I was paying for an item and inadvertently pulled out a Canadian Penny. I wasn't paying any attention and didn't even know that it had slipped into my wallet. I probably got it as change. Anyway...the sales clerk looked at the coin and then at me and said "Oh we don't accept those". She acted like it was counterfeit. I suppose that she was correct but, I've never had anyone refuse a Canadian coin...and a PENNY! Geez!

My mother found a Seated Liberty quarter 1877 Carson CITY and she is sending it to me.. She is a memeber of the ladies auxilary at a firedept I use to belong to in pennsylvania. they had a banquet and passed around the hat fro the lost fireman fund. She pulled it out and repalced it with a handfull of her own quarters ... can you believe that she is into antiques and collectables and coins alittle .. but I believe her if she says it is in fine condition
