Yeah, I've put a few SBA's back into circulation just to get the public a little interested. I doubt it's worked, though.

1987 D Jefferson nickel. Looks like it's fresh from the mint. Wonder where it's been hiding for the past 20 years?

I had two pretty cool finds yesterday in two circulated rolls. The first was a 1969 S lincoln penny- haven't had a chance to get a good llok yet. The second find is a Russian 1885 cent. It was a 1 and KB on the reverse and a shield on the observe. I don't know know if it had any value but it's a pretty cool looking coin- not in the greatest condition but pretty cool anyway. Does anyone have any info on this coin? By the way I'm hanging on to a lucky coin until the contest winner has been announced. It's a 1922 Lincoln Penny. May The Force Be With Me!!

My mom got a Wheat cent in her change from hardees a week or so ago. She gave it to me. It looks cool.

As hard as I have tried, I can't get very worked up about the change I'm finding in my pockets these days. I'ts all very run-of-the-mill and not at all interesting. Even findind one of the older state quearters don't do very much for me anymore. Sorry, but that is how it is.

Wheat pennies (and copper pennies from before 82) is about all I've found in my change (and the penny rolls I've been getting from the bank). I found a 1939 nickel a couple months ago.

Looked through my jar of change and found 3 wheat head pennies. Just wondering how much I've missed all these years. Going to start paying a little more attention to the change I get.

docsfishn, Welcome to the forum! I haven't found a Wheat cent for some time. Ah, the Good Ol Days, when I was a kid and that's all that was in my pocket.

Yeah, and when you was a kid that penny would actually buy something and thats why you didn't keep them! Throw in a Buffalo nickel with that Wheat cent and you could buy a coke!!! I can remember spending quite a few classics in my day!

Last week, found a near mint 1941 Pre-Confederation Newfoundland small cent in some change I received at the local gas station.
Previous to this have found Euros, Pesos, Pounds and Asian coins in my change. Not all that interesting but a rare occurance here in Eastern Canada

How's this for a find?
Serial Number CD00000391* $10 bill 2001 Series color a bit faded from circulation, a couple of fold lines, but in generally good condition.
Not too bad for a novice bill collector!!!

Terry is sure right!
I remember 10 cent pop, 10 cent candy bars, a dime for a comic book, a nickel for an ice cream cone at the nearboring "Creamery."
And gas, would you believe 25 cents a gallon.
Just out of high school, back in 1961, I went to Kansas City to watch the Yankees play. Box seats were $3.20. Program was a dime. Motel we stayed at was brand new and cost $12 a night. Riding the bus to the ball park was a quarter. Hot dogs were 50 cents. Large Coke the same.
Today's young people will someday look back to these days and talk about the current "low" prices. $3 a gallon for gas. $4 for a hot dog at the ball park. Etc.
