I'd imagine the risk of counterfeiting your own nation's currency would deter them from doing it...at least for all the current issues (ancient Chinese to anything 75+ years old however, I'd stay away from) Report this Post to the Staff
AgCoinAu Pillar of the Community Canada 3049 Posts	Posted 11/23/2014 2:50 pm It's a super big NO-NO to counterfiet their own currency in China. Ironic as the government won't step in or be concerned if it's any other countries currency... but they do see counteirfieting their own currency as a huge threat and will prosecute to the full extent of the law. I have at one time even thought to switching to collecting chineese coins as there is such a marginal threat of counterfeits .. compared to that of other countries. Report this Post to the Staff

I exchanged some genuine Yuan notes at Kiwi Bank. They never checked them for authenticity, and they didnt know me.
