Quote: taking in account series popularity, the price of CAD 254.99 is like sale.
What kind of sale is this? The issue price for it was about $160. I paid about $185, shipping included, for it from Perth Mint. Since it selling for about $280 on ebay you will be losing money if you want to resell it.

You paid issue, cause you know where to get it from, and you ready to wait till order be processed, and not afraid potential customs fees. For the rest of people, there are the ways: or to get from ebay for $250-$300, or from our Canadian dealer "The Coin Shoppe" for price less, than on ebay. Not sale but like sale.

Colonial Acres Auction Liquidation Sale Starts July 12 https://www.colonialacres.com/auctions/Many, many coins listed, not only NCLT. Whatever people can say, but since "liquidation" appears, means people do not need these coins or other coins or coins at all. This is probably answers some questions on the Canadian Circulation forum in the topic of the "Future of the collecting".

So I am looking around here, back tracking on some coins on the want list... and I circle back to the Bison series, specifically family at rest... I thought Silvertowne had already sold this out, at least I had seen it sell out on ebay a few months back,,, and BOOM, they still have more, back in stock and now they are at 44.95! I remember when they were in the mid 50s and I thought that was a good deal lol my my my my MY how prices continue to crash... and I cant believe they STILL have in stock the 2013 Maple Leaf Piedfort now at 47, dropped a tad more and they still have the 2014 silver goose quarter! my goodness... and that now goes for 20 bucks... WOW... BTW, I am talking in USD prices but still, the slash downs are huge IMO. The negative- I personally dont like paying up for the Goose coin,, I paid full price because I happen to like canadian geese... the positive- this is a great time to enter the hobby and pick over what you want.

Quote: the positive- this is a great time to enter the hobby and pick over what you want. Why someone will want the 2013 Piedfort after it crashed to $47 ? Only if someone collects the Piedfort coins. I had mine, but after more and more comparisons with 2010 coin and after concerns with it's current value, I decided that do not want it. The offers came only from Europe...and it went there (for low price of cause).

@silveroid Well, thats what I meant... either a fan of these series or just someone new coming in and they never saw these coins before. As an example, I wanted that the Maple Leaf with the Chicago ANA privy... I waited for that coin and instead of paying full price I got it with about a 30% discount. I was very happy and I would consider more coins that I like from the RCM that are marked down.

Sad thing is I actually really like the 2013 pied-fort , but its sicking they way the value dropped on these. I guess I am stuck with mine anyways because I refuse to sell it for $50 US or whatever the low going rate is for them atm.

Quote: Sad thing is I actually really like the 2013 pied-fort , but its sicking they way the value dropped on these. I liked it too. Main disadvantage (previously) was a "busy design". But not same "busy" like on Tim Barnard coin, it was unclear. And it started to drop... So my thought was "Why to keep it, the old and good 2010 is enough and holds the value". @Yup76:you have great tactics and patience. Congrats for discounted purchase of nice coin. Btw: for this on and it's predecessor without privy mark, I was sure, that they will have good demand.

I see silver town sold like 480 of these on ebay alone , plus many others from their main site, looks like they bought like 1000 of them, only good thing is I doubt that they will buy that many single RCM coins again , appears they over bought and then started dumping them. Just other sign that the RCM is pumping out too many coins with too high of mintages.
