Excellent!

That is a good deal, especially considering that you can still get them from the mint.

I have zero regrets about getting that item. I'm not into medals but its a really nice presentation and worth the money IMO.

I suppose the mint still selling them means the aftermarket has to take a loss (even if it is only shipping) or hold on to them for a bit longer.

I think the success of each C&C set largely depends on the president being honored. I did not buy the FDR set because I do not care for the man. I'll gladly buy Truman's when it debuts and Ike's too.

The Theodore Roosevelt sets have sold on ebay with a low of $69 to a high of $110. I was several FDR sets that sold for $40, what a bust.

I do not understand why so many people strongly dislike FDR. He led this nation through two terrible events: the great depression and the second world war. Was he perfect? No, but I doubt anyone reading my words would have done any better. I argue that most of you would have lead us to absolute failure.

It seems that being President of the United States is a thankless job. We tend to ignore the triumphs and choose to focus on things perceived (right or wrong) as failures. This is depressing, which is why I plan to get all of the C&C sets. I want to focus on the good these past presidents have done. I have to say that the booklets included with the two Roosevelt sets have enabled me to do this. I look forward to reading the remaining selections.
