I have a "file" at work with various 2x2's, bill holders, and a (somewhat) current price guide. Quote: You are at Disney World looking at coins in the water of a fountain and your wife simply looks at you and says NO. My wife was wondering why I was laughing so hard, I had to show her this post and say "see, I'm not the only one" LOL

You roll your coins to not only avoid the Coinstar fee, but to avoid the risk of undercounting on the machine's part.

I LOVE this thread! I'm guilty of more than a few of these.
If you've ever cycled a marked nickel through a vending machine to try to get the old ones out.
You are forced to use plastic because that dollar in your wallet happens to be from the 1960s.
So, quick story: I was in line at the cafeteria about a dozen years back and happened to see that the person in front of me paid with a 1963-A Granahan-Fowler $1 FRN. I knew I didn't have one for my collection so I had to break a ten and ask for extra ones just to get to the one that the person in front of me paid with. Held up the line and everything.

One of my great 'coin addict' moments was in 2011, when I was on a camping holiday in Spain, and I deliberately used a zig-zag course as I drove back home through France... Why? The new silver regional 10-euro coins had come out, and you could only get them from main post offices in the region depicted on the coin! I visited several beautiful cities that I'd never seen before, but the Post Office was always the first stop, before the Cathedral or museum...

you're so busy looking at CCF that you miss a meeting or an important deadline.
Actually, I'm in danger of the latter, now !
