She did keep it and said she was going to give it to one of her grandchildren. The cashiers now ask me questions if they run across anything that looks unusual to them.

You call your older aunts and uncles and anyone else still with a breath left in them that your into collecting "old junky coins" they may have stuffed away collecting dust and should give them to me because there may be deadly germs on them they can catch and no I don't care if I am in the will to inherit old books, pics, and clothing show me the coins!

When a friend or colleague comes back from a holiday or work trip to some exotic country, your first question to them is "Did you bring back any coins or notes, and please could I have them?"

You search your friends' and relatives' children's moneyboxes for interesting and rare coins.
Actually, I used to do this (with permission).
If I found anything interesting, I offered full retail value -. usually accepted, with delight.
My neighbour's son, Ruaraidh, was so delighted that he bought a metal detector and now shows me all the coins he finds.

If you're sitting on a sofa in a hotel lounge or similar place, you can't resist feeling behind the cushions, just to see if any coins have slipped behind there...

You are at Disney World looking at coins in the water of a fountain and your wife simply looks at you and says NO.

You have to remove the heating grate in the floor because you can see the change someone dropped down there.

You always carry a few 2" x 2" flips with you in case you get some interesting coins in change when shopping...
