What is the going rate for a 1922 cent in good condition?

I checked the price guide but I'm not sure if its up to date.

A friend bought one for $7 and the guy originally wanted 15 for it, but he unloaded all kinds of coins for half price.

I'm missing the 22 and I know my bud wants to make a profit,

that's how he rolls :-).

The PCGS price guide lists a 1922 no D strong reverse in good at $550. They do not price any of the other varieties. The less evidence that there ever was a "D" visible on the obverse the more a collector will like it.

A Canada 1922 cent in good 4 would sell for about 10-12 CAD. Probably in better condition though? Do you have pics available for us?
It is uncommon for a 1922 to be that worn. They are commonly found in VG to Fine as it is a key date.

No pic, didn't have my camera with me.

Didn't have my glasses either so it may be vg or f condition.

I know he's gonna jack the price up and won't budge a bit.

Just don't wanna get burned.

Maybe shop around for this coin. You will be able to get a no problems fine coin for $15 -20 easily. If you also need the other 2 keys ,the 1923 and the 1925 a package deal can easily be found. Good hunting!
