I never could figure out why anyone would want or plan on a tax refund. The way I've always looked at taxes is why let the government hold your money with no interest...
I feel the same way.

Any tax refund I get goes into one of my investment accounts. I will adjust my withholding amount if the refund is too high.

EAC = Early American Coppers club. They have an annual convention and sale (auction) Anyone can attend the convention, but the sale is only open to the membership. About 500 lots of colonials, Half Cents, and large cents sometimes with some Conders and hard times tokens thrown in as well.

That's awesome! (BIG copper fan) I've heard that acronym before, but it was "Exact Audio Copy"...which obviously makes no sense in this context, LOL

For the lack of topic oriented responses in this thread, coupled with anti-tax refund replies... I' ll wager 10-1 this forum absolutely explodes the 2nd week of February with new acquisitions. Any takers?

This year I'm receiving about $6k (give or take) the first week of February. I like that feeling a lot better

You gave the government $6000 of your money to play with for a whole year

It is quite possible to pay ZERO in Federal Income Tax during the year (via withholding or quarterly payments) and still receive a refund. He may have a gaggle of children (I have four, so I know!), or receive the earned income credit, etc.
